I don't know about you, but I reckon what the world needs now is more singer-songwriters. OK, sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, but by the same token, strumming is the most banal form of music, so Adrian Crowley and I are quits. Crowley is a Dubliner with connections to Scotland's folkie Fence Collective, and on 'Long Distance Swimmer', he pursues extended metaphors involving beaches and bays and rivers and reservoirs. At the end of the day, Crowley is just another guy recording under his birth-name, who believes that adequate proficiency on an acoustic guitar and a reasonable ability to hold a tune entitles him to an audience.
