Camille Dalmais is the bilingual Parisienne familiar to Brits for her guest spots with Nouvelle Vague ("Guns of Brixton" being one of her star turns), and Ilo Veyou (sic), her fourth studio album, is a game of two halves.
When she sings in French, her engagingly wayward vocals waltzing with delicate gypsy-folk melodies, it's beguiling and sexy. When she crosses the Channel and sings in English, she's a ten-a-penny kook-merchant.
