Album: Case Hardin, PM (Clubhouse)
A third album by the admirable British combo fronted by Pete Gow; a sort of quiet digest of what we know about the American folk tradition's impact on rock's long odyssey, acoustic guitars, pianos and fiddles supporting Gow's voice with furrowed attention.
It's not the most powerful, energising or charismatic of voices, but the songs are mostly excellent: real-life narratives exploring authentic sentiments. Worthy of your attention.
