And the fact that the voice of Antony Hegarty is unusually well suited to such a juxtaposition has been common knowledge since his guest appearances on albums by My Robot Friend and Björk. With Hercules and Love Affair, a New York collective led by Andrew Butler, he's not merely a guest: he's the star. The spectrum of Hercules and Love Affair's sound has Moroder disco at one end and tech-house at the other. Hegarty's contributions are so delicious you could weep.
