They claim to bring classical music to bear on the tropes of American folk music. Hmm.

Sounds like folk-pop with posh strings to me – an elaborate, aptly (given the title) domestic music for closeted souls driven by one Ari Picker, who may or may not like to think he has a little Nick Drake in him. He certainly has a fragile voice and a carefully picked acoustic guitar. It's attractive, romantic, elaborate and quiet as a house in which unexpressed feelings seethe. Pleasant rather than original.
