A curio curated by Haslam – the septuagenarian interior designer – and producer David Ogilvy, MM is a strangely wonderful thing.
It creates a nocturnal netherworld from half-forgotten Irving Berlin musicals, the sampled sirens of yesteryear, guest vocalists (a surprisingly charming Cilla Black), and prose recitations from assorted notables. It feels as though it’s eternally engaged in a recherche du temps perdu which remains elusively out of reach.
