With two techno-heads unleashed on the archive of ECM, you might expect at least the ghost of a groove.
But apart from a lovely snare-drum loop on "Recat" (annoyingly, all the tracks are called Re-something or other), this is barely even a head-nodding experience. Over two discs, items from the jazz and new-music catalogue are subjected to what sounds like random remixes. Unable to isolate the original recordings, they've chosen lots of silence. The more you listen, the shallower it gets.
