Fabric has quickly become one of London's superclubs, but until now it's been pleasingly reticent about putting it's brand about. As if to make up for lost time, a new Fabric CD will now be released every month. At that rate they will probably have caught up with Cream and Ministry of Sound by the end of the decade. But sadly it's not a good start. Lavelle has wide ranging taste, mixing underground techno and breakbeat with crowd-pleasers. He just doesn't mix them very well. His set sounds live in an unpolished, under-rehearsed way, and there's just no structure to it.
