Right from the moment Maggie Siff’s shrink/dominatrix says “That’s going to burn, let me fix it” to her stricken husband (Paul Giamatti) in the very first scene, it’s clear that Billions is yet another seriously addictively good Sky Box Set.

Produced by Showtime, makers of the equally compelling The Affair (also available on Sky Box Sets), Billions stars Damien Lewis as Bobby ‘Axe’ Axelrod, a charismatic and corrupt hedge-fund billionaire who is being investigated by Giamatti’s pugnacious US attorney, Chuck Rhoades. The two leads are reliably excellent as competing alpha males, the script is razor-sharp and the cliffhanger endings make you yearn for more. It’s almost impossible to watch just one episode at a time, and not inconceivable to reel off all 12 in a weekend, which is where Sky Box Sets come in.

This is seriously addictive telly, right up there with acclaimed gothic crime drama True Detective, Arctic-set thriller Fortitude and, of course, the sleek small-screen drama, The Affair, all available on Sky Box Sets. These riveting shows, along with the likes of Sex and the City and The Last Panthers, aren’t built to be watched on a weekly basis; they’re lovingly constructed to be consumed episode after episode on Sky Box Sets. Don’t feel guilty, we’re all at it…
