With the Internet angered by Pepsi’s latest Kendall Jenner-starring advert, late-night comedians seized the opportunity to relentlessly mock the tasteless - and now pulled - clip.

First up was Jimmy Kimmel, who was confused about how the controversial advert, which trivialises the Black Live Matter movement to promote cola, ever got made.

He said: “The fact that this somehow made it through - I can’t imagine how many meetings, and edits, and pitches, and then got the thumbs-up from who know how many people is absolutely mind-boggling.”

Trevor Noah of The Daily Show also took swings at the advert, explaining how it’s "so sad" that "once again we see a Kardashian in a video being put in an awkward position," alluding to Kim Kardashian's infamous sex tape.

Seth Myers decided to spoof the advert, creating an ‘alternative ending’ following the upset. In his new clip, a black woman is seen handing a policeman a Pepsi; however, instead of celebrations like in the original, the copper calls in back-up to apprehend the woman.

Over on the Late Show, Stephen Colbert took aim: “We have a deeply divided nation, but today, it seems that everyone has come together to join the protest against the new protest ad from Pepsi.”

The 52-year-old then began to dissect exactly what happens throughout the advert, dissecting each moment, barely containing his own laughter: “It starts with a throng of beautiful, multi-ethnic people protesting in the streets of, I’m gonna guess Newport, Rhode Island.

“So far, we don’t know what has caused all of America’s hot extras to take to the streets. But I’m guessing it’s a protest for ‘Attractive Lives Matter.’” Watch the full clip here.
