AMC have been known to sneak Easter Eggs into their shows, The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad sharing many, with Preacher looking set to continue the trend.

In episode nine of season one, “Finish The Song”, a connection to one of Breaking Bad’s most famous scenes was made.

As Fiore and DeBlanc awaited their charter bus to Hell, fans of Walter White were likely scratching their heads because the background looked uncannily similar to one in “Ozymandias”.

For those wondering, yes, that was the exact same location as seen in Breaking Bad; despite being set in Texas, the majority of Preacher films in Albuquerque, where Breaking Bad was also filmed.

Thus, despite “The Cleaner” picking up Walter (and almost Jesse) in New Mexico, the location also served as Texas for the bus to Hell.

One of the other many reasons for the Easter Egg could very well be that Preacher showrunner Sam Catlin also acted as producer on Breaking Bad and will likely know how iconic that backdrop is.

Could Breaking Bad and Preacher be set in the same universe? Don’t act like you’re not trying to find other ways for the two to be linked. Might be difficult to reason how this location is in Texas and New Mexico though.

A new trailer for Preacher was revealed at Comic Con, as were a tonne of other trailers, including Justice League, Wonder Woman, and Doctor Strange.
