What has Donald Trump said about coronavirus?

Seth MacFarlane has commented on Donald Trump’s return to the White House after being hospitalised with Covid-19.

The Family Guy creator, who has mocked the president many times on his animated comedy, was asked on Good Morning Britain what he made of Trump’s “burnishing of his superhero status”, from his salute on the balcony to him ripping off his mask and saying the country shouldn’t be afraid of coronavirus.

MacFarlane said: “I don’t know any superheroes with that body. To me, he just looks like a fool, they all look like fools. They’ve made a political statement out of not wearing a mask which is insane.

"It’s medical advice… And they shunned it so of course they got sick, it’s crazy.”

Many celebrities have condemned Trump for removing his facemask despite having coronavirus.

The US president was on his way back to the White House after being checked out of hospital when he took his mask off for a photo opportunity. He then turned and entered a room full of aides without putting it back on.

Mia Farrow branded Trump the “most dangerous US president of my lifetime”.
