The hair

Rebecca Gonsalves: In this world, nothing can be said to be certain, except death, taxes and Chrissie Hynde's feather cut.

Mike Higgins: It's a risky strategy to plump for one haircut and stick with it for decades. Has anyone ever seen her forehead?

The hat

Rebecca: Shouldn't the trilby still be doing time in solitary for its heinous crimes against fashion circa 2010?

Mike: To put Biker Woman into party mode, simply add random hat and bag, and point in direction of red carpet.

The T-shirt

Rebecca: Now here's a gun motif I can get behind; does Wile E Coyote have an upcoming collaboration I don't know about?

Mike: Simple, well cut, with a cute motif (it may be an old joke, but it's a good one). Hynde, as her recent album reviews show, still has 'it' in spades.

The boots

Rebecca: Insert terribly obvious 'these boots were made for walking', or in this case strutting, joke here.

Mike: One assumes Ms Hynde lives by the adage that if there isn't a biker boot trend now, there'll be another along in a decade or so.
