Heart Searching: 13 years of marriage

A friend and I placed a light-hearted advertisement in Time Out and were overwhelmed by the response. We plumped for a 'like- minded' pair of 'hedonistic' guys. A meeting was arranged and, to cut a long story short, I can report 13 years of happy marriage and two beautiful children as a result]

My friend? It didn't quite gel for her and my husband's friend but she later met her soulmate through the same channels. The strangest thing is that people still seem to find Lonely Hearts ads and dating agencies an eyebrow-raising subject. I am convinced it is a safer way of making friends than endless party-going - or was I just incredibly lucky?
