Lana Del Rey responds to Frances Bean Cobain: ‘I said I liked your dad because he was talented not because he died young’
The singer clarifies her comments on the death of young musicians

Lana Del Rey has responded to Frances Bean Cobain’s comments that the singer should not “romanticise” the death of young musicians, following a controversial interview.
“It's all good,” Del Rey said in a tweet, which has now been deleted.
“He was asking me a lot a out [sic] your dad I said I liked him because he was talented not because he died young.”
"The other half of what I said wasn't really related to the people he mentioned. I don't find that part of music glam either."
Cobain addressed comments made by Del Rey, after the singer said, “I wish I was dead already” in an interview with the Guardian.
“That's just how I feel. If it wasn't that way, then I wouldn't say it. I would be scared if I knew [death] was coming, but…” she said.
She also described the death of young musicians as “glamorous” and said her life was like “one f**ked up movie”.
Cobain’s Nirvana frontman father died at the age of 27 after taking his own life.
“I’ll never know my father because he died young and it becomes a desirable feat because people like you think it’s ‘cool,’” she said in a tweet which has since been removed.
“Well, it’s f**king not. Embrace life, because you only get one life.”
She later added that she wasn’t trying to criticise Del Rey.
“I'm not attacking anyone,” she wrote. “I have no animosity towards Lana, I was just trying to put things in perspective from personal experience.”
