OK, so none of the reactions to Nigel Farage’s colour-draining defeat in South Thanet will beat the look of sheer elation on Al Murray’s face.
The Ukip leader lost out to Tory candidate Craig Mackinlay, who won the seat with 18,838 to Farage’s 16,026.
“Compared to my plane crash, this feels pretty damn good,” he said as he took to the podium.
“I’ve never been happier,” he declared, before promptly storming off stage with a face of thunder.
Naturally, not all were sad to see him go.
