CCTV footage shows woman being led away to be gang raped

CCTV footage has caught a woman being led up a London street to an isolated area where she was allegedly gang-raped.

Officers released the video appealing for help in finding three men pictured on it.

The victim, a 34-year-old woman, had been out with friends earlier that evening.

She is seen on the video being led by the hand at approximately 12:15am on March 20, 2017.

She is walking along Covent Garden’s Green Street, where she is led into an isolated part of Slingsby Place.

Two men can be seen in the video, following behind the pair.

The woman claims that at least two of them raped her.

Detective Constable Ben Lucas, from the Met’s Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command, said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for the victim who naturally remains extremely distressed by what happened.

"We have released footage of the suspects in Greek Street in the hope someone will recognise them or saw them that night.”

The man holding the victim’s hand appears to be in his 30s and has a shaven head, and is wearing a dark blazer and trousers, and back shoes.

All three are described as being "of Asian appearance".
