Juventus defender Dani Alves produced in an inspired display capped by a stunning volleyed goal in a 2-1 win over AS Monaco that took the Italians into their second Champions League final in three years on Tuesday.

Kylian Mbappe. The 18-year-old forward has quickly transformed from Monaco’s young star to the man who represents their best chance of success in Turin. Having conceded two away goals, Monaco will need to go for broke in attempt to take an early lead against the Italian champions, and it is Mbappe’s pace, skill and goalscoring prowess which gives his side the best chance of doing that.

Leonardo Bonucci. The centre half is central to Juventus’ famed defensive record, which has seen them concede just 23 goals in 35 domestic games and, unbelievably, only two in a Champions League run which includes keeping a clean sheet over two legs against Barcelona. He is outstanding both physically and technically, with the ability to prioritise defensively but provide a platform with his passing. Monaco have an uphill task overturning the two goal deficit with Bonucci and Co. in their way.

19 mins: Really good work from Monaco. Mbappe shuffles past Marchisio in the middle of the pitch and skims a pass out wide to Mendy, who spots the run of Falcao and hits it first-time into the box.

But again, Monaco's front-line is thwarted by the Juventus defence. Chiellini heads the ball away for a corner, and then clears the set-piece for good measure.

The ball is played through to Dybala, who looks to run in behind off the shoulder of Mendy, but he slips as he's about to go through on goal.

No matter: Higuain collects the ball and bursts through one-on-one and tries to elegantly float a shot over the advancing Subasic.

It beats the keeper ... but he doesn't quite get enough on his attempt, which gives Glik the time he needs to scamper back and boot the ball off the line.

This time, it's a simple one-two that completely bypasses the Monaco defence. Pjanic bursts forward, exchanges passes with Dybala and, suddenly, he's one-on-one.

Dani Alves again! The full-back wins the ball in the middle of the park and spots the run of Higuain. One gorgeous slide-rule pass later and the Argentinian is clean through on goal. He confidently rolls the ball under Subasic and into the net butttttt...
