Few players do something so original and so brilliant on a football pitch that a trick is named after them.

But Johan Cruyff, who died today, did just that with a moment of genius at the 1974 World Cup.

With his athleticism and vision the Dutchman bamboozled his opponent and mesmerised viewers and with it created the Cruff turn.

With today's news, anyone near a football will probably be attempting to recreate the moment. So here's how you do it...

1. Position the ball within striking distance in front of you...

2. Shape your body is if you are about to kick the ball...

3. Instead, drag the ball behind your standing leg and simultaneously turn shoulders...

4. Having turned, move away at speed to evade defender...
