Premier League weekend round-up

Will Hughes put the finishing touch to a rare away win for Watford, who ended a torrid run on the road by putting away Burnley 3-1 at Turf Moor.

Javi Gracia's side had not won in their previous 12 Premier League trips, losing 11 and failing to score in their previous eight.

But 13 proved a lucky number, with the Hornets twice taking the lead through Andre Gray and Troy Deeney before Hughes beat Joe Hart with a sweet strike from 20 yards.

What time does it start?

Burnley vs Watford kicks off at 1:30PM (BST)

Where can I watch it?

The match will not be shown live on TV or online in the UK.

Highlights will be available at 10:30PM on BBC One.

It’s a big game for…

Aaron Lennon: The 31-year-old winger found it tough against Bertrand last weekend, but his finishing has been found wanting so far in the league and the Europa League. He has kept showing for the ball and has had chances, and Sean Dyche will hope he can rediscover his form soon.

Stat…

Three: Burnley have won three of the four Premier League fixtures between these two sides, including both fixtures last season. Watford’s sole victory came in February last calendar year.

Remember when…

The sides became acclimatised to playing each other in the ten-year period 2004-2014, playing each other 16 times in the Championship altogether. However, few games have seen as bizarre a goal, or rather own goal, than the one in February 2011 from Dale Bennett. The match was only eight minutes old when a goalkeeper Lee Grant attempted to clear a long ball, but succeeded only in kicking it against his defender to open the scoring. Burnley went on to win the game at Vicarage Road 3-1.

Player to watch…

Joe Hart: The former Manchester City goalkeeper made a string of fine saves in the second half to keep Southampton at bay, and with Tom Heaton and the injured Nick Pope as Sean Dyche’s other options as number one, the 31-year-old will know he cannot rest on his laurels. Two successive clean sheets would suggest that he is on his way to establishing himself as first choice though.

KICK OFF and we're underway here at the Etihad and at Turf Moor.

CHANCE! City make a positive start amidst some calamitous Huddersfield defending.

A routine corner is not cleared and a sliced clearance bounces off the bar and back for another corner before David Silva slips in Gabriel Jesus who's effort is stopped by Ben Hamer's legs.

It could be a long day for the keeper.

GOAL: Burnley 0-1 Watford (Andre Gray, 2)

Really good start from the Hornets and Andre Gray scores at the ground he used to call home.

Maybe Burnley's midweek exertions are taking their toll?

Meanwhile, it's all hands to the pump at the Etihad with David Silva slotting back into action with ease.

His teasing ball towards the back post found Gabriel Jesus who wasn't prepared for it to reach him and it bounces off his knee into the grateful hands of Hamer.

GOAL! Burnley 1-1 Watford (James Tarkowski, 7)

A corner is floated towards James Tarkowski who scores his first goal for the Clarets with a free header.

Please can I retract my earlier comment suggesting their tired exertions?

Huddersfield have settled down slightly after the frenetic start but they aren't threatening anything in to City's half.

Quarter hour mark approaching.

18 mins: David Silva is all over this game.

He's popping up left right and centre, dummying defenders, sending them one way or another.

He's certainly been the magician so far...but...the Terriers are holding firm.

This man has led proceedings so far.

He walked on to the pitch with his son, Mateo, before kick off after the new born's well-publicised illness last season following a premature birth.

Football can be nice.

Mere minutes later, Terence Kongolo comes smashing in to Bernardo Silva but wins the ball cleanly.

Huddersfield are getting stuck in here and have improved following last week's 3-0 home defeat by Chelsea.

Manchester City fans are getting a tad restless.
