Premier League weekend round-up

Will Hughes put the finishing touch to a rare away win for Watford, who ended a torrid run on the road by putting away Burnley 3-1 at Turf Moor.

Javi Gracia's side had not won in their previous 12 Premier League trips, losing 11 and failing to score in their previous eight.

But 13 proved a lucky number, with the Hornets twice taking the lead through Andre Gray and Troy Deeney before Hughes beat Joe Hart with a sweet strike from 20 yards.

What time does it start?

Burnley vs Watford kicks off at 1:30PM (BST)

Where can I watch it?

The match will not be shown live on TV or online in the UK.

Highlights will be available at 10:30PM on BBC One.

It’s a big game for…

Aaron Lennon: The 31-year-old winger found it tough against Bertrand last weekend, but his finishing has been found wanting so far in the league and the Europa League. He has kept showing for the ball and has had chances, and Sean Dyche will hope he can rediscover his form soon.

Stat…

Three: Burnley have won three of the four Premier League fixtures between these two sides, including both fixtures last season. Watford’s sole victory came in February last calendar year.

Remember when…

The sides became acclimatised to playing each other in the ten-year period 2004-2014, playing each other 16 times in the Championship altogether. However, few games have seen as bizarre a goal, or rather own goal, than the one in February 2011 from Dale Bennett. The match was only eight minutes old when a goalkeeper Lee Grant attempted to clear a long ball, but succeeded only in kicking it against his defender to open the scoring. Burnley went on to win the game at Vicarage Road 3-1.

Player to watch…

Joe Hart: The former Manchester City goalkeeper made a string of fine saves in the second half to keep Southampton at bay, and with Tom Heaton and the injured Nick Pope as Sean Dyche’s other options as number one, the 31-year-old will know he cannot rest on his laurels. Two successive clean sheets would suggest that he is on his way to establishing himself as first choice though.

Minutes after Huddersfield produce their first really promising moment of the game with Stankovic having a shot on the edge of the box, City break forward.

And it's not a typical Manchester City passing goal.

Rather, it's route one! An incredible 80 yard goal kick from Ederson finds it way to Aguero who bides his time on the edge of the box, allows Hamer to close him down, before chipping both he and the defenders retreating towards the line.

Great finish and great feet.

30 mins: Bernardo Silva and Aguero link up this time with the former's ball into the box met by the quick feet of Aguero but this time he shoots wide from just outside the 6-yard-box.

31 mins: GOAL! Manchester City 2-0 Huddersfield (Jesus)

Mendy and Jesus force the action down the left hand side and despite a bit of luck with a bobbling ball, it falls to the Brazilian on the edge of the box and his rasping drive beats Hamer at his near post!

City taking over.

Long day incoming for the Terriers.

34 mins: GOAL! Manchester City 3-0 Huddersfield (Aguero)

It's hard enough to beat City on a good day but if you're going to give them goals that Huddersfield just have, what chance have you got?

Mendy swings in a cross and it's fumbled by Hamer and who is there to react fastest?

None other than Sergio Aguero for one of his easier goals.

If you're David Wagner here, what do you do?

After a frustrating first 25 minutes, Manchester City and truly in cruise control now.

They're passing the ball with fluidity and ease and this could be anything come 90 minutes.

The Etihad crowd is expecting more and I don't think they're alone.

41 mins: CORNER TO HUDDERSFIELD!

43 mins: GOAL! HUDDERSFIELD SCORE! Manchester City 3-1 Huddersfield.

Stankovic, the only other Huddersfield player to have a shot this afternoon has now had a second bite at the cherry and he's come good.

The Terriers have fought themselves a lifeline. Somehow.

A throw-in was flicked on by Mounie and Stankovic stole a mark on his defenders who were perhaps a bit too complacent and he's prodded the ball beyond Ederson.

City will still expect to cruise in the second half and that goal might just reinvigorate them into action in the second period.

Meanwhile at Burnley, the score remains 1-1 but the Clarets have been the better side since the equaliser.

That might prove a bit tighter second half than this one.

HALF TIME in both 1:30pm kick offs.

Manchester City 3-1 Huddersfield

Burnley 1-1 Watford.

Lots of goals and lots of entertainment! Plenty more to come in the second half.

Stay Tuned.
