Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has rubbished rumours linking him with the Chelsea job in the summer.

On Tuesday, Allegri's former manager Giovanne Galeone said he thought his former pupil would pick the Blues.

"I think Max will go to Chelsea and will do very well," Galeone, who managed Allregri at Pescara, told Gazzetta Dello Sport.

"He will leave Italy, and I see him going to England because the deal Roman Abramovich has offered is really fantastic. As one of the five best coaches in the world, he has to leave Juventus, it makes no sense for him to stay in Italy."

There appears to be no clear candidate for the Chelsea job at the moment, with various names being linked to take over from interim manager Guus Hiddink in the summer.

In fact such is the lack of a firm target, only one of the major bookamkers currently has a book open on who will be the next manager.

Allegri, whose Juve side are currently second in Serie A and face Bayern Munich in the Champions League last-16, said there is "nothing" in the reports.

"There's nothing to it," he told Sky Italia. "I cannot either confirm or deny something that doesn't exist.

"I want this matter over and done with now. What's important for me right now is to get to the end of the season with Juventus and try and win some silverware."

Juventus have won 17 of their last 18 matches in all competitions and are two points behind Serie A leaders Napoli, who they play on Saturday.

They are also through to the last 16 of the Champions League, where they face Bayern Munich, and in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia, with Inter Milan their opponents.
