Match Preview: Man United v Huddersfield

Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham all recorded emphatic victories on Boxing Day, taking full advantage of Manchester City's second consecutive defeat as Pep Guardiola's side slumped to a 2-1 loss at Leicester City.

City looked to be cruising when Bernardo Silva put them ahead early on, but Marc Albrighton soon equalised and Ricardo Pereira stole the show with his late winner the inflicted back-to-back defeats on City, who also had Fabian Delph sent off late on for a bad challenge.

The defeat was all the more costly given that Liverpool thrashed Newcastle United 4-0 thanks to goals from Dejan Lovren, Mohamed Salah, Xherdan Shaqiri and Fabinho, while Tottenham's 5-0 thrashing of Bournemouth elevates them to second, with Son Heung-min scoring twice along with Christian Eriksen, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane.

United's resurgence under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continued at Old Trafford as a Paul Pogba double, plus an early opener from Nemanja Matic, secured a 3-1 victory over Huddersfield, while Everton recovered from last weekend's mauling by Spurs with an emphatic 5-1 victory over Burnley, with Lucas Digne scoring twice while Yerry Minda scored his first goal for the club. The other 3pm match was the only one not to feature a goal as Crystal Palace were held to a 0-0 draw at home by Cardiff City. Re-live the action below.
