It was announced today that Tim Howard will leave Everton at the end of this season to join MLS side Colorado Rapids.

The move will end a 10-year spell at Goodison Park and see one of the most prominent goalkeepers in the history of the Premier League depart.

Whilst making his name in England's top-flight, first with Manchester United and then Everton, the greatest moment of Howard's career came at the 2014 World Cup.

His incredible performance in the United States’ extra-time 2-1 defeat to Belgium saw the American make the most saves in a World Cup match since 1966. In total he made 16 saves.

The display saw his Wikipedia page edited to give Howard the role as the Secretary of Defence of the United States of America, while the Twitter trend ‘Things Tim Howard could save’ took off.
