Spurs look to take advantage while Southampton are down a man due to the injury but Kulusevski’s pass into tight space for Kane is intercepted by Salisu. The change in possession gives Bednarek a chance to re-enter the fray, though he is moving gingerly and holding his ribs in some discomfort.

More headaches for Ruben Selles, as Bednarek has stayed down after the cleared corner, with the referee forced to blow his whistle and halt play. The centre-back looks to be in considerable discomfort as he receives treatment from the medical staff, while the Saints bench once again comes alive.

Tottenham opt to take their second corner of the match in more traditional fashion, putting it towards the penalty spot. Salisu is the first one to meet the ball, whacking it away which allows Southampton to move higher up the pitch.

Conte’s side are allowing Ward-Prowse to pull the strings in midfield, ceding that ground in order to win the ball back near their 18-yard box and hit quickly down the wings.
