manager Arsene Wenger has hit out at the way Spanish clubs conduct their
presidential elections after Gunners captain Cesc Fabregas was once again
linked with a move back to boyhood club Barcelona.

and Sunderland target Marouane Chamakh is resigned to staying at Bordeaux
for the coming season, despite claiming he has recently been approached by
West Ham.

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has warned Arsenal he will do everything possible to
keep Brede Hangeland at Craven Cottage this summer. Gunners boss Arsene
Wenger is preparing for a season without Kolo Toure and Philippe Senderos as
centre-back options and is known as an admirer of Norway international
Hangeland.
4 August: Everton
today confirmed that they are in negotiations to sign Arsenal defender
Philippe Senderos. But the Goodison Park club said that a fee has yet to be
agreed for the 24-year-old Swiss international.
4 August: Arsenal
manager Arsene Wenger will bide his time over Marouane Chamakh and wait
until Bordeaux lower their valuation of the forward. Wenger has declared a
possible deal as "terminated" for the moment due to the French
club's current asking price for the Morocco international, which is believed
to be around £15m for a player with one year left on his contract.

Chamakh has lashed out at Bordeaux for standing in his way of a "dream"
move to Arsenal. Chamakh has made it clear to wants to leave Les Girondins
for the English Premier League but has yet to find a club.

Italy international midfielder Daniele De Rossi has dismissed renewed
rumours linking him with a move to England to join Arsenal.
2 August: The
Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger is not ruling out his former captain Patrick
Vieira returning to the club. The 33-year-old midfielder, who left Arsenal
for Juventus in 2005, is surplus to requirements at Internazionale.
2 August: Birmingham
hope to find out in the next 48 hours whether Arsenal will allow them to
sign defender Armand Traore on loan.

Manchester City signing Kolo Toure has revealed his move from Arsenal to
Eastlands has been on the cards for six months. The 28-year-old defender has
signed a four-year contract with City after ending a seven-year spell at
Arsenal.

City have confirmed that Kolo Toure is moving to Eastlands on a four-year
contract. The 28-year-old defender arrives from Arsenal for an undisclosed
fee following seven years with the north London club.

Wenger has insisted that Kolo Touré's transfer to Manchester City is not
done and dusted yet, although City remain confident they can push it through
by the end of the week and take manager Mark Hughes' spending this summer
close to £100m.

Wenger has confirmed that Kolo Toure could leave Arsenal as talks continue
over a possible move by the Ivory Coast defender to Manchester City. Toure
played for Arsenal last night in a pre-season friendly in Hungary but could
move to City in a £15m transfer later this week.

would see the striker Emmanuel Adebayor partnering Carlos Tevez, whose move

Arsenal full-back Emmanuel Eboue. Melo, who arrived in Florence from Spanish

Wenger admitted yesterday that Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor could
engineer a move away from Arsenal. "If he does not want to stay, he
will leave," the Arsenal manager said. When asked of his interest in
the Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh, Wenger responded: "Yes, but only
in the event of a departure.
4 July: The
Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs has signed a new long-term contract at the
club. Gibbs, who made the step-up to the first team last season because of
Gaël Clichy's injury, excelled in the European Under-21 Championship this
summer.
