Poulter & McIlroy vs Spieth & Thomas (4UP)

Now it's Spieth. If it goes in that's the match...and it does.

10-6 it is heading into Sunday. What a day.

Butch Harmon is lost for words...well not really. He just repeats "I love the Ryder Cup". This has been a heck of a tournament so far.

Poulter & McIlroy def. by Spieth & Thomas 4&3

That putt meant a lot to Jordan Spieth. He banged his chest so hard that he may well be bruised in the morning. He's been the leader for the Americans this week.

Tiger Woods speaks after losing all three matches he's played so far:

"Everything feels pretty good. Just the fact that I lost three matches, and didn't feel like I played poorly. That's the frustrating thing about match play. We can play well and nothing can happen. We ran against two guys that were both playing well and when one was out of the hole, especially in best-ball, the other one made birdie and vice versa. They did that a lot to us. At one point, they made, what, six out of eight birdies on the back nine, and only one person was in the hole at a time. That's the nature of match play."

Justin Rose & Henrik Stenson are also speaking to Sky Sports:

Stenson: "It was a tough match and we were up there coming into the last couple of holes, and Brooks, he hit a lovely shot into 15 and I didn't hit my best shot into 16 and it all got very interesting from there on, but a couple of big putts from me that I managed to squeeze in the right direction."

Rose: "We hung with it. We knew like yesterday, if you can keep around even par in foursomes - and it was probably hard for them to find their best stuff this afternoon, too."

And finally it's the captain Thomas Bjorn:

"We've got to take all that in, and you look at Brookline, Medinah, plenty of examples of these scorelines not meaning a lot until you get to singles. Just keep going. Keep going hard, keep going with what we've got, and you know, I've seen too many times what the singles does.

"It's a completely different game tomorrow and that makes a lot of refocusing and getting back into that team room and recover. We used a lot of energy these days. We go again tomorrow. Try and focus on what's ahead."
