Both War Of Attrition (2006) and Kicking King (2005) have shared many travails since their moment of glory, however, so much so that Mouse Morris yesterday confined his comeback ambitions for War Of Attrition to finishing "in the first four". "He's been off for a long time and the main thing is he comes back in one piece," the trainer said, adding that the heavy ground will not be ideal either.

The former All Black wing Scott Hamilton says he is looking forward to linking up with his former Canterbury and Crusaders team-mate Aaron Mauger when he joins Leicester in November. The 28-year-old has confirmed that he will leave for Europe at the end of the current Air New Zealand Cup competition. He will join the Guinness Premiership side on a two-year deal.
