Castleford say they will stand by forward Martin Aspinwall, despite his four-month jail sentence for dangerous driving. Aspinwall, already under suspended sentence for an assault conviction, was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court last week.

Warrington, the Challenge Cup holders for the past two years, have been drawn to play Wigan, the Super League champions, in this season's quarter-finals. The draw last night kept the two Humberside teams apart, with Hull at home to Leeds and Hull KR at St Helens. Huddersfield are at Castleford in the other tie, to be played over the weekend of 23 and 24 July.
