The rudest airport name is Fukui airport? IMO, that view is utterly offensive. In Japanese, "Fuku" (of "Fukuoka airport"...) means nothing but a Happiness, Prosperity..which is god's bless, the most precious thing in the life of all mankind..So, What's wrong with words which start with the sound? It's time for you to forget about such narrow-minded..anglo-centric perspective isn't it?..
Besides, we have various other homonyms of "Fuku"..e.g., as the nowns, many Fuku exists..they respectively mean "CLOTH" "ABDOMEN" "WIDTH" ..; as adjectives, they mean "VICE-/SUB-/SECONDARY.." "DOUBLE/COMPOUND.."; as the verbs they mean "TO BLOW/SPOUT" "TO WIPE" "TO FURNISH (THE ROOF)" "TO LIE DOWN/LURK" & so on..so on.
[I'd say you'd rather spell it as "HUKU", if it reminds you of anything sordid on your side..)THNX]

As a fellow countryman, I say you are taking it too seriously. I mean, what sounds funny is FUNNY, period. There is no need to be offended.

My guess is, the reason why 'fukui airport' ranked as No.1 is because of its nationality. They want something to laugh at, then they put it as number 1, though as to fukui..nothing is funnier than any other names.
You don't need to talk about your nationality to me- while I have never mentioned mine- You need to express straightfowardly what you feel in europe don't you..!?

I wonder why Fu-Ku-I is listed for the rudest. How does it sound to westerners? Sound like what!? I'm reeeeeealy curious. (actually, it should be read as "Hu-Ku-I" - our ancestor's mistake to use "F" for "H" sound.... oh, well then, French people cannot pronounce it.. ha-ha!)
By the way...
