WITH three weeks to go to the late summer bank holiday, bookings to short-haul destinations are heavy. British Airways has limited availability on Friday 26 August to Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris. For departures on 27 August, BA's Paris flights are full; there are a few seats left to the Belgian and Dutch capitals. BA's advice to prospective travellers is to book as soon as possible.

Cresta Holidays (061-927 7000) has a 'kids go free' deal to Euro Disney over the holiday weekend, using Air UK from Stansted

or Leeds/Bradford. Two adults are entitled to take two children under 12, who receive free flights and accommodation at Euro Disney for two nights. A charge of pounds 75 per child is made to cover transfers and admission to the theme park.

Cut-price London breaks are available over the holiday. The Radisson-Edwardian chain of hotels (0800 191991) has a range of 'summer special luxury breaks' on offer until the end of August. Each night in a four-star central London hotel costs pounds 49.50 per person, and also includes one of three options: dinner, a ticket for a West End show, or discounted rail travel - a free ticket from Ipswich or Birmingham, or a pounds 10 ticket from Manchester.

In Norfolk, the Hotel Norwich (0603 787260) is offering a rate of pounds 37.60 per person per night for dinner, bed and breakfast, and five nights for the price of four over the bank holiday.
