Live events rarely go off without a hitch, and the same could be said at last night’s coronation concert, when the BBC were forced to cut cameras after a rather awkward silence.

James Nesbitt geared up to introduce Paloma Faith to the stage at the event celebrating King Charles III’s coronation, however, while the cameras were on him, his cue to start speaking never came.

The actor stood staring down the lens in silence for a number of seconds, before the shot cut away to break the ice.
