Strictly’s Amy Dowden hid breast cancer fears from new husband during honeymoon

Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has shared how she kept her breast cancer fears a secret from her husband as they embarked on their honeymoon.

The dancer, 33, announced her diagnosis back in May and has been open about the treatment she has received ever since.

Dowden says she discovered a lump a day before she and husband Ben Jones were due to fly to the Maldives for their honeymoon - however she did not tell her partner about what she found.

“What could we have done?” Dowden said.

“I didn’t want to worry anybody until we knew,” she added.
