Dolphin glides through bioluminescent waves to hunt fish in Florida

Mesmerising footage shows the moment a dolphin glides through bioluminescent waves leaving a trail of electric blue light off the coast of Florida.

Justin Buzzi was kayaking in Haulover Canal on 1 August when the marine mammal put on a beautiful show while hunting fish.

Footage, viewed almost 1 million times, shows the dolphin shooting directly under Buzzi’s see-through kayak leaving a trail in the water.

The mammal dives underwater with its dorsal fin leaving a burst of firework-like blue algae.
