‘I’m an international Ricky Gervais impersonator - I’ve even been booked for funerals’

An impersonator says he has travelled the world as a David Brent lookalike, and has even performed at a funeral.

Tim Oliver, from West Sussex, mostly plays Ricky Gervais’ hapless middle-manager character from the Office, but has also morphed into others from the comedian’s work.

The 59-year-old from West Sussex has performed as far away as Australia and says he was once asked star in an adult film as Brent, which he instantly turned down.

Oliver says he’s mostly well-received, though performing at a funeral was awkward.

“This bloke had died young... and his mates booked me... They said he was the biggest fan ever,” Oliver said.
