Rio Ferdinand reveals cringe-worthy chat-up line he used on now wife Kate

Rio Ferdinand has revealed the cringe-worthy chat-up line he used when he first met his wife Kate.

The former Manchester United footballer began dating the TOWIE star in 2016 and has revealed he tried to win her over by getting the DJ to play Drake for her on a night out.

Discussing their first meeting on The Therapy Crouch podcast, Kate revealed to hosts Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch that she said she’d give Rio her number if he got the job done.

“I got knocked back by the DJ though, she was going ‘the music’s rubbish in here’ and I said ‘I’ll get it changed I’ll sort it out’ you know billy big b******* over here,” Ferdinand said.
