Rishi Sunak’s mother-in-law says UK immigration ‘didn’t believe’ London address

Rishi Sunak’s mother-in-law has said that a UK immigration officer refused to believe that she was staying at 10 Downing Street on a visit to London last year.

Sudha Murty, an author and philanthropist, described how she wrote down the prime minister’s address when asked by immigration enforcement, but officials thought she was joking.

“No one believes that I, a 72-year-old, simple lady, can be the mother-in-law of the prime minister,” Ms Murty told the Kapil Sharma Show.
