Children play in snowy Spanish province as Storm Juliette hits

A Spanish province was covered in snow as temperatures dropped during Storm Juliette on Monday, 27 February.

Footage recorded Twitter user @Elasessales shows children playing in the cold weather in Selas, Guadalajara province.

The unusually cold weather was caused by an Arctic air mass according to AEMET, the Spanish meteorological service.

Temperatures in Spain are likely to remain below the average for this time of year until Friday, 3 March, AEMET said.
