Is the European Court right to uphold France's ban on veils?

Today the European Court of Human Rights upheld France's ban on the full-face veil. The decision was made after a 24-year-old woman brought a case against the law to the court, claiming that it breached her right to freedom of religion and expression.

Ruling in favour of the French, the court's decision paves the way for other EU member states to introduce similar bans on niqabs and burkas.
