The Conservatives are now a ragbag of rats fighting in a sack, more intent on saving their jobs than saving the country (PA Archive)

We have a year or more to decide who to vote for in the next general election. Now is the time for the parties to announce their plan for a better future for Britain. We have suffered through enough of the Tories, but what is lacking is the confident, firm promises from Labour of what their governance will mean for the British people.

There are possibly three by-elections this year at which Labour must put their very best candidates forward with one voice giving Britain hope for the future. Whether all three seats are won or lost, the people must be convinced that Labour has a formula for sustainable growth, sensible foreign and financial policies that work and long-term plans for our NHS.

The Conservatives are now a bunch of rats fighting in a sack, more intent on making money and saving their jobs than saving the country from further descent into chaos and shame.
