From politicians to actors, monarchs to musicians, Rankin’s latest book and exhibition brings together some of the most famous faces of the last 20 years.

Portraits at the Annroy Gallery in London, unites some of Rankin’s most recognisable portraiture with a collection of previously unseen works.

Pictures of the Queen, supermodel Kate Moss, actress Liv Tyler and singers Maddona and Kylie, will neighbour portraits of comedian Ricky Gervais, global leaders Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and Mikhail Gorbachev.

Moss, one of the most photographed women in the world, said of Rankin: “Any time Rankin takes a picture he knows what he wants, and there is really no chance of being anyone but who you are, even if you try. You can trust him. I trust him.”

The Scottish-born fashion photographer and co-founder of Dazed & Confused magazines said: “Portraiture has always been a central aspect of my work. I love connecting with people, working with them to get not only a great photograph, but one that captures a little bit of who they are.”

Portraits by Rankin is distributed in the UK by Turnaround, priced £40, www.turnaround-uk.com. An exhibition of the work will run from 18th June - 18th July at Annroy Gallery, details can be found at www.rankin.co.uk
