The brief? To take photos, perhaps from the window of the room where fans were listening to Brian Eno's latest album LUX, as the light of their day changed.

These would be curated, then streamed online by Eno and his team as the album was broadcast on Saturday. The website was flooded with offerings.

“The idea was to make a collaborative, generative work. To see what happened if you just made a space for it to happen in,” says Eno. “I think we were all taken aback at the scale of the response: over 6,000 pictures! But even more remarkable was the high quality. It made the task of selecting which ones would finally be streamed quite difficult. I was touched so many people responded.”
