‘Thank god I’m still here’: Jeremih shares first photo after coronavirus hospitalisation
R&B artist was reportedly on a ventilator while in hospital
US singer Jeremih has posted his first photo since becoming seriously ill with Covid-19.
The 33-year-old is now recovering at home following several weeks spent in a Chicago hospital with the virus, where he was reportedly in intensive care on a ventilator.
Updating his fans on social media, he shared two images on Instagram on Wednesday (9 December).
In one picture, he can be seen lying down in a hospital gown with a bandage on his neck.
In the second photo, he appears to be having his hair styled.
"THANK GOD IM STILL HERE," he captioned the post. "THANK YA’LL FOR THE [prayers] UP."
He added: "#imbackkkk."
Fans celebrated the news in the comments, with one writing: "So happy to see ur doing well."
More than 15 million people have been infected with Covid in the US and 289,529 people have died – the highest figures of any country in the world.
A number of celebrities have been urging the public to get the vaccine as soon as it becomes available to them.
