Wilco (The Album) opens with "Wilco (The Song)". So what, then, is Wilco (The Verdict)?
Parentheses aside, album number seven finds Jeff Tweedy in mix-and-match mood, with both his and his fans' dark ("Bull Black Nova") and light ("You & I") sides duly catered to. Wilco being Wilco, the layers of sound subtly reveal themselves, with Nels Cline's Television-ish guitar of particular note. Verdict? Still, Radiohead notwithstanding, the best rock band on the planet. What you waiting for?
