George Galloway- Celebrity Big Brother
Not many can forget the sight of George Galloway licking milk out of the lap of actress Rula Lenska pretending to be a cat on Celebrity Big Brother 2006, but many would like to.
The former Labour MP decided to go on the show to raise awareness about his anti-Iraq war Respect party. Chief Westminster whip Hilary Armstrong urged him to “respect his constituents, not his ego” and launched a petition against him. John Biggs, City and East member of the London Assembly, said he was “one of the biggest laughing stocks in London politics since the Second World War.”
Result: six years later all seemed to be forgiven when “Gorgeous George” was elected Respect MP for Bradford West in March 2012.
