Thanks to a new nail art, you can paint your nails to look like your favourite sushi roll.

Picture nail art that depicts tuna on the thumb, shrimp on the index finger, salmon caviar on the middle finger, salmon on the ring finger and egg roll on the pinky. That is what been the subject of numerous social media posts in Japan recently. Images of manicures designed to look like a variety of sushi have been posted on Twitter and been retweeted over 10,000 times in just few days.

Some of the original sushi nail photos seem to have been circulating on the web for a while already but the latest pictures shared on the social media platform feature the three-dimensional acrylic nail art that include a wide variety of the sea world that appears on our sushi plates, including octopus, squid and sea urchin.

And if the heavy acrylic creations aren’t enough, you can also add a dangling soy sauce charm. Sushi manicures made of nail stickers, nail tips and nail chips have been in the beauty market for a long while, but the 3D version has given a new life to this trend and taken the web by storm.
