Lindsay Lohan has declared she “may run for President” in 2020, crediting Kanye West, Queen Elizabeth and Barack Obama as inspirations.

Lohan, 29, announced her potential plans on Instagram, thanking Mr Obama and West for “inspiring us to become better people” and initialising the hashtag #lindsaylohan2020.

In a second post of her and West, the actress pledged that her first role as US President would be to “take care of all the children suffering in the world”, which she says she was shown how to do by the Queen, while residing in the UK.

Lohan featured in Speed The Plow in London’s West End last year but has since been regularly seen in the capital, she has also spoke of her fondness for the city a number of times.

Another phrase captioned in Lohan’s posts included "#34yearsofexperience", which is the age she will be in 2020. Unfortunately, the US age of candidacy laws rule that a presidential hopeful must be at least 35-years-old, meaning Lohan would narrowly miss the requirements.

Lohan follows in the footsteps of West, who announced his plans at the VMAs in September. He later stood by his words, but added he “hates politics”.
