Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool are all in Boxing Day Premier League action with six games kicking off at 3pm on a busy day of festive football.

United need to beat Burnley if they are to have any chance of hunting down Manchester City after a 13-point gap at the top of the Premier League table, having slipped to a 2-2 draw last time out against a 10-man Leicester City. Chelsea can gain ground on United if they fail to win, as the Blues take on Brighton & Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge.

Leicester are also in action again as they make the trip to Watford, while Bournemouth host West Ham on the south coast looking to recover from last weekend’s 4-0 thrashing by City. Huddersfield Town host Stoke City at the John Smith’s Stadium, while the final 3pm kick-off sees West Bromwich Albion face Everton.

The evening kick-off sees Liverpool entertain Swansea at Anfield.

3 mins: GOAL! MANCHESTER UNITED 0 BURNLEY 1:

An early shock at Old Trafford as Ashley Barnes hooks Burnley into the lead in this all Lancashire affair. The Manchester United defence failed to deal with a Johann Berg Gudmundsson free-kick on the left edge of the penalty area, conceded by the cautioned Marcos Rojo, and as the ball bounced around the six-yard box, Barnes reacted quickest to turn and fire past David de Gea.
