Everton are expected to come back in for Manchester United's Morgan Schneiderlin, having seen their initial £19m offer rejected.

According to the Daily Mail, the Merseyside club are currently preparing an improved offer, closer to United's £24m valuation of the out-of-favour defensive midfielder.

Schneiderlin's last appearance for United came in November's 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Old Trafford, in which he came on as an 85th minute substitute for Juan Mata.

Samir Nasri, who is already on loan at N'Zonzi's current club Sevilla, and Jesus Navas, who began his career with the La Liga club, could be used as makeweights in any potential deal for N'Zonzi.
