Six big moments from Bafta TV awards 2023

The Bafta Television Awards took place on Sunday night (15 May) with the best in the business battling out to win the biggest prizes in British TV.

Ben Whishaw and Kate Winslet were named as best leading actor and actress for their performances in This Is Going to Hurt and I Am Ruth respectively.

Winslet’s acceptance speech was also one of the most memorable of the night, as she broke down in tears and dedicated the win to her daughter and co-star, Mia Threapleton.
